Kate Middleton was pictured giving it some elbow grease as she paddled her way on a 25ft war-canoe with dozens of native warriors! With her hair tied back in a headband the Duchess was smiling as she helped visit a remote Island off the Hecate Strait in British Columbia. Kate was joined by Prince William wearing sunglasses with Kate wearing a Smythe green tweed blazer, Zara jeans and a £79 blouse from Somerset by Alice Temperley. Some of the warriors in the canoe wore blue T-shirts with the words ‘No LNG’ written on them opposing a liquefied natural gas development in the area. The Royal couple then fashion scarves trimmed with sea otter fur as a sign of welcome and respect by the local First Nations Haida Community. The woven raven's tail scarves are a sign of wealth and rank among the Haida people, who in times gone by had to travel by canoe to trade for the wool on the mainland. The couple were given a tour of the village hall after they had just been canoeing with local warriors.
